Hunting Ground “Dikchan”

“Dikchan” is one of the oldest hunting grounds in Bulgaria. It is situated between Mesta river and Dospat dam, at 240 km from Sofia.
The terrain is mountainous and hilly-mountainous, and the altitude varies from 450 to 1750 m. The territory of “Dikchan” falls into the Continental Mediterranean climate zone. The main tree species among conifers are black and white pine, spruce and fir. Birch and oak are the brightest representatives of broad-leaved trees.

The mild Mediterranean climate and the proximity to the Dospat dam provide perfect conditions for hunting of the main game species in “Dikchan”: red deer, fallow deer, moufflon, wild boar, roe deer and capercaillie – all with excellent trophy qualities.

Hunters will be accommodated in 2 completely new hunting lodges with 9 double rooms each. Each room has its own WC and shower. The cuisine offers delicious game meat specialties and excellent drinks.
Available are excursions to architectural reserves Dolen, Kovachevitsa and Leshten. Our guest can also visit the mineral springs in the village of Ognyanovo, the picturesque Trigrad Gorge, the caves Devil’s Throat and Yagodinska, and Hadji Dimov Monastery.
